Autumn is upon us already, how that happens quite so quickly is an
absolute mystery. The kids are back at school (hoorray!) Its time to
start packing away the floaty summer numbers, flip flops etc and start
thinking cosy luxury. There is something very comforting in putting
on a pair of gorgeous boots (socks!) and throwing on the cashmere or
a smart jacket then wrapping up in a chic coat.
This season I am absolutely delighted and excited to herald the launch
of our own brand LITTLE LONDON. For the last 9mths I have had
the greatest pleasure in putting together for you our very first full
LITTLE LONDON collection. During January and early February
(in the cold and rain) I was trudging the country in and out of factories
and tanneries, learning about knitwear, looking at fabrics and in Paris
at the bewilderingly large Premiere Vision fabric exhibition. I had a
very clear vision of the collection I wanted to bring into being.
The LITTLE LONDON brand has a luxe english eccentric vibe.
It encapsulates the quirky style of the english women. A fusion of
traditional and contemporary amalgamating heritage and fresh
ideas. Cut and fit are my absolute passion without these a garment is
nothing, this is something we have definitely achieved. The core of
the collection is being tailored in London alongside some of the UK’s
top brands. No expense has been spared on the beautiful fabrics and
buttons used. Linings are liberty’s silk. The stripey coat and jacket
is an English Tweed (divine). We have fantastic and very glamorous
puffa’s starting at £199 and some beautifully cut little suede jackets,
blazers and trench coats, not to mention the most heavenly conker
like leather biker jacket. Our cashmere collection has grown and is
being made in Scotland. The idea behind the collection is that all of
the pieces work back and forth with each other and pretty much can
be put in any combination, thus enabling with just a few pieces a
stylish and individual capsule wardrobe can be created.
New for this season we have:
- MIH Jeans (Made In Heaven), the father of whom was ‘the jean
machine man’ in the 70’s. Its great to find a really cool English
jean brand incorporating lots of cord and velvet. Very sexy fit
too.
- Custo Barcelona, Spanish cult T-shirt brand.
- Milly Moy, quirky cute English collection of dresses and tops.
- Tonia Bastyn, formally from Press and Bastyn, more gorgeous
dresses.
- La Petite Robe, very French, very chic, very Coco
- Butter by Nadia, slinky jersey dresses, each dress can be worn in
a variety of ways
We are still loving Paige, Metalicus and Bernshaw and as usual lots
and lots of bits and pieces will ebb and flow during the season.
If you haven’t seen us for a while, I’d love to invite you “Come take a
look”. I feel we have so much to offer you this season and as we are
only stocking LITTLE LONDON brand in our own 4 shops it doesn’t
get more exculsive then that at affordable prices. Do come in, take a
peek or peruse our newly designed website. Take a bit of ‘you time’
and allow the girls to show you ‘the looks’.
If you pop in before the end of September there is a little something
in the back of this brochure to help.
We look forward to seeing you
